I have been in the audio business since 1977, and I have never heard outdoor audio sound like this equipment sounds! Over the years I have worked with and installed many different brands of outdoor audio, some quite good at the time. Nothing comes close to what Coastal Source audio sounds like. Their line of speakers ranges from mini bollards to bollards with built in subwoofers, to the outlandishly awesome Line Array. Your indoor, high-end speakers have nothing on the Line Array speakers, our top-of-the-line speaker system. And once you hear what a subwoofer adds to the bottom end of the music, you won’t want to be without it! The speakers without the subwoofer are still awesome, but adding the subwoofer is a whole different level of outdoor audio.
Like our equally awesome outdoor lighting, audio components are tested in the demanding environment of the Florida Keys. With its harsh year-round weather, this is the perfect spot to put the products through its paces. If it fails here, the product is re-worked to bring it up to the uncompromising standards we demand. That is how we can offer a Lifetime warranty on all their products, including accessories and even the cabling.
Traditionally, cable was spliced underground with water resistant wire nuts and underground junction boxes. Cable issues were the number one reason a system failed after a couple of years. We have eliminated this issue using Plug and Play cabling, which simply screw together, creating a watertight seal. Ask about the bollard series, which can be mostly buried, up to the speaker’s drain slot. The drain slot allows water which enters from the grill to be expelled to the ground. These speakers can be left out all year long. The difference is these speakers won’t go bad after a few seasons.
INSTALLATION
The best audio available is worthless if it isn’t properly installed. Fortunately, Bentley Electronic Systems is known for their installation integrity. Since 1977 when I started out doing high end automotive installations (I was trained in automotive installation by the best, my father, Arthur, who had the first auto sound shop in the area, started in 1952) Bentley Electronic Systems puts much effort into doing it right the first time. My attitude is mediocrity is everywhere. Good enough is never good enough. If I’m not happy with the resulting installation, it is corrected without fail.
